Queens Gambit
Inspired by the miniseries of the same name, and in turn by one of the oldest opening moves in Chess, one what sees some sacrifice to gain early dominance of the centre of the board, this cocktail makes much the same impact. Ostensibly this is a simple Gin & Tonic, highlighting the elegance of our citrus forward Diamonds Blend, but it sacrifices the simplicity of the Gin & tonic in it’s attempt to control the room and show off the blend as the showstopper. Adding subtle but powerful flavours, sweetness from honey not sugar, savour tones from rosemary not tonic additives, and sourness from lemons, this recipe can take on the larger spritz balloon presentation and become a centerpiece and not just an introduction. Be sure not to go shy on the garnish, this lady is not for turning.
