Frequently asked questions from our customers
Over the years, especially in the early days when we were the first non-alcoholic distillers in Australia, we have answered hundreds of questions from our loyal and curious customers. Here are some of the FAQ that you might have as well
How are products are created and produced?
No. Our Sapiir (Non-alcoholic gin) does not contain any alcohol whatsoever. While some other products on the market contain traces due to their production processes, we have developed our own process which has absolutely no alcohol at any point.
Our non-alcoholic range is completely allergen free. Our alcoholic gins are made from a neutral grain spirit so are not considered gluten free.
All our products are made right here in Brunswick, Victoria at our dedicated production facility. You can come for a tour of the facility if you are interested in seeing the process.
We currently have 3 profiles and we have developed them with the seasons. Our Diamonds blend is a fresh summer citrus profile. Spades is a green fresh savoury blend inspired by Spring. Hearts is a warm, rich and spiced flavour perfect for Winter.
Our gin products do not have an expiry because of the alcohol content. Our non-alcoholic products have an 18 month shelf life.
No, our Sapiir has no sugar or any other synthetic additives, flavours or colours.
What can you do with our products?
Like any card in the deck, our products are made to be mixed with others and provide a complex and delicious aroma that instantly elevates the drink you're making. This can be as simple as mixing with tonic or soda, and as complex as shaken cocktails in elegant glassware. While some people do drink our products neat, mixing them with other liquids best presents the complex profiles.
On the back of every bottle lid you'll find our perfect serves, which are always with a tonic water. We find this is the best way to really open up the flavour profiles and present the profiles at their best.
Being a perfect host is all about elegance and preparation. Our deck of cards will help you prepare the right ingredients and our bottle lid will help you measure out each drink elegantly. Look for the lines in the centre of the lid where you can measure out 15ml, 30ml, 45ml and 60ml serves. If you forget the measurements, they're written on the side of the lid.
The perfect way to taste our product is in 3 easy steps: Smell, Sip and Mix. Pour 30ml into a wide glass using the measure on the lid and smell the product deeply with both nostrils. You'll get a good understanding of the profile. Then sip the product. You'll notice how thin the product is becuase all of the flavour is in the aroma as there is no bitter, sweet, savoury or umami components for your tongue to taste. Then add equal parts soda or tonic and taste again. When your tongue tastes the soda or tonic, your brain will conect this to the aromas from the Sapiir or Gin and you will get a much stonger profile with all the complexities of the profile. As you taste you will notice that the aromas and flavours linger with you and create an elongated profile making you want to go back again and again.
